Help the Birmingham Metro Area show the world how biodiverse our region is by making as many observations of as many species as possible between April 30-May 3, 2021! The City Nature Challenge 2021: Birmingham Metro Area project will include iNaturalist observations made from April 30-May 3, 2021 from Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Coosa, Cullman, Etowah, Hale, Jefferson, Perry, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, and Walker Counties in Alabama. This is the first year any Alabama city has competed in the City Nature Challenge, and we hope to build off the success of the Biodiversity of Alabama project to grow to show the rest of the world some of the amazing biodiversity that iNaturalist users have observed in our state.
